What TacVault collects, and what it does not.

TacVault is an iOS app published by ArchGentic LLC. This page covers the app. It is short because the app collects very little.

Effective October 3, 2026

Not an official system

TacVault is a personal-use tool for tracking serialized equipment: who signed for an item, and who is holding it now.

It is not an official U.S. Army or Department of Defense system. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by either, and it does not connect to any government system.

The short version

TacVault stores your sign-in details, your rank and name, and the equipment records you enter. That is all. There is no advertising, no tracking and no analytics in the app, and your data is not sold.

What the app collects

  • Email address and password, so you can sign in. The password is stored hashed by the sign-in provider. ArchGentic cannot read it.
  • Rank and last name. First name is optional. That is the whole profile.
  • The equipment records you enter: equipment type, serial number, condition, notes, who an item is signed out to, and sub-hand or loan records.
  • A permanent history of those actions, so the record shows who signed for what and when.
  • An account ID that ties your records to your account.

A squad leader can also type in the rank and name of soldiers on their roster who do not have an account.

What the app does not collect

  • No Social Security number.
  • No DoD ID number.
  • No blood type.
  • No location.
  • No contacts.
  • No photos.
  • No device identifiers for advertising.

The app contains no analytics tools, no advertising, no third-party trackers and no crash reporters. Your data is not sold and is not used to track you.

Who can see what

Your own equipment list is private to you.

That changes if you join a squad with a join code. The squad's leader can then read your whole equipment record, including entries from before you joined. Squad members can see the squad roster and the squad's equipment.

Nobody outside a squad can browse or search squads.

Where the data lives

On Supabase, which provides the hosted database and the sign-in system. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account inside the app. Use Delete account on the main screen. That removes your email and sign-in credentials, and strips your name and rank from your profile.

The permanent history is kept, and it cannot be edited by anyone. The record of who signed for what is the point of the tool. Entries already written to it may still show your name as it was written at the time. If you lead a squad, deleting your account closes it.

You can also email contact@archgentic.com and ask for deletion.

Children

TacVault is not directed at children under 13.
